The Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo marked World Health Day, which is held every year on April 7 under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO), reports the Patria news agency.
On the plateau in front of the BBI Center, a team of doctors from the KCUS distributed leaflets to citizens with instructions from cardiology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, endocrinology, neurology, and infectious diseases.
Doctors also gave citizens other advice and measured blood pressure values.
Dr. Nejra Prohić, an internist at KCUS, said that the level of healthcare in Bosnia and Herzegovina is commendable, and that doctors in BiH are coping well with all medical challenges.
- Unfortunately, many patients do not have developed awareness of their illnesses, and many patients do not have the conditions to adequately care for their health. Today we are here to advise them, to point out the proper way of nutrition, taking medication - said Dr. Prohić.
The team of doctors who, despite the bad weather and cold, spoke with a large number of citizens also included Dr. Alen Džubur, Dr. Nadža Sivac, Dr. Nihad Kukavica, Dr. Edina Hasanagić, Dr. Ševkija Balić, and Dr. Selim Hašimbegović.
