Members of „Cult Banda“, a pop-rock group from Austria, consisting of vocalist Safet Srna, guitarist Haris Čaušević, bass guitarist Salko Agović, keyboardists Ekrem Prošić and Emil Avdić, and drummer Adnan Sejdić, will perform tomorrow (5 February) at the Bosnian Ball in the Austrian city of Linz, which is held under the patronage of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Austria, reports the news agency Patria.
“Cult Band” at this year's edition of the event will perform together with “Mostar sevdah reunion”, one of the best BH bands whose repertoire consists of sevdalinkas in a modern arrangement. The first Bosnian-Herzegovinian Ball in Linz was held in March 2013, and the BiH Community of Associations in Upper Austria, after learning that the Bosnian Ball in Vienna would no longer be held due to financial problems, decided to continue this tradition in the city of Linz.
- We consider our initiative valuable in preserving the cultural and historical identity of citizens who originate from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and today live and work in Austria. The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Ambassador Tomislav Leko assumes patronage over the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Ball in the city of Linz this year - stated the BiH Community of Associations in Upper Austria.
The first patronage over the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Ball in Linz was held by the then deputy mayor, and current mayor of the city of Linz, Mr. Klaus Luger. Bosnians and Herzegovinians at the Bosnian Ball in Linz have already been entertained by famous music stars from BiH, including Hari Mata Hari, Hanka Paldum, the group “Čudne sjene” and others.
