SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The draw for the second season of the Football Nations League will be held from 6 PM in Amsterdam, and our national team is placed in the third pot of Group A.
This practically means that our selection can get selections of Portugal, England, Netherlands, Switzerland as opponents from the first pot.
From the second pot, opponents can be Belgium, France, Spain, and Italy.
The fourth pot is not much weaker either, and it includes Croatia, Poland, Germany, and Iceland.
Regarding the selections we will not get, they are Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden.
The change compared to the first season is that there will be 16 teams in League A instead of 12.
The competition starts on September 3, and Portugal is the defending champion.
We remind you that our selection had a positive performance in the first edition of the Nations League, thereby earning promotion to League A. We hope that the players led by coach Dušan Bajević will continue their good performances, and that they will qualify for the European Championship before that.
