Yesterday marked the Day of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH). Most well-intentioned people who love and feel Bosnia and Herzegovina as their homeland, mark that day with remembrance and tribute to our heroes. On that day, we remember those who defended the sovereignty and independence of our country, civil equality while ensuring the equality of peoples.
By marking the anniversary of the founding of the ARBiH, we preserve the historical memory of the defense of fundamental civilizational values, the right to life, the right to freely express political and religious ideas, which 32 years ago were threatened by anti-civilizational Greater Serbian policies from Belgrade, and later by anti-civilizational Greater Croatian policies from Zagreb.
I will remind you that the most honorable Army of RBiH, in defense of fundamental civilizational values, also dealt with rogue criminals within its ranks who threatened those values.
What struck me yesterday was that none of the leaders of Naša stranka, otherwise regular propagandists on social networks for obscuring our everyday lives, made any statement or marked this significant historical date in any way. The only exception was the mayor of Centar Municipality, Srđan Mandić, a former member of the ARBiH.
I believe that the day is not interesting to the leaders of Naša stranka because their contribution to the fight for the survival and normal order of the state is certainly minor. Likewise, the struggle of a people for bare survival was not important to them. I also assume that they did not consider the values defended by the members of the ARBiH to be their own values, so during that most difficult period for all of us, they found a place to live in the territory of other countries.
However, today that space defended by the ARBiH is very important to them, because they seek their place under the political sun there and live their lives freely and in accordance with their values, but they will not remember to pay tribute to the people who laid down their lives so that they could live there today.
The question arises whether there are people among us who are ashamed of our defenders and people who despise their honorable fight for the preservation of the country? Are there people among us who so easily forget what happened here and close their eyes to what is happening in this country today?
I will mention that the only army from this region that participated in the central celebration of the 50th anniversary of Victory over Fascism Day on May 9, 1995, in Paris, was the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina! And what do we have to be ashamed of and what to despise?
In any case, we can and must be proud with full hearts of the war path of the ARBiH and its legacy, because if it weren't for that army, created from the people in the most difficult circumstances, we and our country Bosnia and Herzegovina would not exist today.
Perhaps people who despise the past of honorable struggle for the preservation of the constitutional and legal order find it quite normal to come to power by suspending the Constitution of the FBiH. At every level of government, they have shown that they despise the legal order and the rule of law. They also disregard the political will of a people who, from nothing, created a respectable military force that preserved this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina which they rule today. And with their way of ruling, they have revived an unconstitutional political practice that we have not seen since 1992.
The only thing they know is to throw dust in our eyes without any valid arguments, talking about some fictional progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path, while their "reformed" and "European" partners threaten us daily with secession and new bloodshed, just like when these leaders fled from here.
And that is life in today's Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it seems that these alienated centers of political power are more interested in engaging in artistic production of video clips than in the life problems and hardships of us citizens.
It is clear to anyone even slightly familiar with the political situation in BiH and the region that the story about opening negotiations is more a web of fortunate circumstances and broader geopolitical realignments and relationships than a result of the work of the ruling structures. It would be honest, since they only want to talk about progress and the future, not the past, to tell us something about the position of non-Serbs in the smaller BiH entity and what they have done for those people!? It's easy to play with a mobile phone on the streets of Sarajevo, but why don't they try doing it on the streets of other cities, especially in the smaller BiH entity?
I doubt that will ever happen, because the political action of these quasi-liberal fog sellers is directed exclusively at the territories of Bosnia and Herzegovina that were defended by the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which they despise today.
