Lendo at the ceremonial session of the City Council: The aggressor was decisively defeated in Zavidovići in 1995

(Patria) - The Vice-President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo, attended the ceremonial session of the Zavidovići City Council today, held on the occasion of the City Day.

In his address, he emphasized that City Day is not only an occasion to remember the rich history and tradition, but also a moment to celebrate the successes and values that make Zavidovići a recognizable and important place in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He particularly emphasized the significance of September 15, 1995, when the aggressor was decisively defeated in this area.

That date, Lendo said, deserves permanent commemoration as a symbol of the courage and resistance of the citizens of Zavidovići and the fighters of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose sacrifice is built into the foundations of freedom and the survival of the state.



Speaking about the future, Vice-President Lendo emphasized that Zavidovići deserves to be a city of prosperity, new jobs, modern education, and opportunities for young people.

- That is the best way to repay all those who built and defended this city, but also to leave a stronger and more beautiful Bosnia and Herzegovina for the generations to come - said Lendo.

Finally, he thanked the Mayor Erna Merdić Smailhodžić for her hospitality and congratulated all citizens of Zavidovići on City Day, wishing the city to continue to grow, develop, and be the pride of its people and the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.
