Lendo at ceremonial academy on the occasion of the Day of Bugojno Units: Our task is to preserve and build BiH for future generations

(Patria) - The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo, attended the ceremonial academy on the occasion of the Day of Bugojno Units of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held in Bugojno.

In his address, he emphasized that marking this date is not just a remembrance of the past, but a pledge to future generations that the heroic struggle of the Bugojno units will never be forgotten:

"Here, in Bugojno, in 1992, a decision was made that changed the course of history. With the formation of the First Bugojno Brigade, a clear message was sent – Bugojno will not fall, Bosnia and Herzegovina will live. The Bugojno units left an indelible mark and an example of courage and pride for all of us. Our mission continues – our task is to preserve and build Bosnia and Herzegovina for future generations."

Vice President Lendo particularly emphasized the role of the families of martyrs and fallen soldiers, stating that freedom was paid for at the highest price and that it must remain a permanent reminder and obligation to all who defend and build Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

Before the academy, Vice President Lendo laid flowers at the Central Memorial in Bugojno and paid tribute to all fallen members of the Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The organizer of the Day of Bugojno Units commemoration is the Association for the Protection of Achievements of the Struggle for Bosnia and Herzegovina SBK – Municipal Board Bugojno, in cooperation with the fundamental veteran associations originating from the Army of RBiH of the municipality of Bugojno.
