Lendo at the commemoration of the liberation anniversary of Sanski Most: A day of pride, courage and victory

(Patria) - Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Refik Lendo attended today's central ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the liberation of Sanski Most.

In the presence of representatives of veterans' associations, war commanders, citizens and guests, Lendo addressed those present, emphasizing that the Day of Liberation of Sanski Most is a symbol of courage, pride and victory of a people who knew how to defend their homeland.



- It is a great honor for me to mark together today the Day of Liberation of Sanski Most - a day of pride, courage and victory.

In that historic October, fighters under the flag of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, shoulder to shoulder, under the leadership of their commanders, won the freedom of this region and brought victory in one of the brightest chapters of our recent history - said Lendo.

He especially remembered General Mehmed Alagić, a legendary commander and son of this region, whose vision, military knowledge and immense love for Bosnia and Herzegovina were a symbol of Krajina courage and unity.

- This day is not just a memory - it is a vow. A vow that we will preserve the ideals for which the fighters stood up to defend the homeland - justice, dignity and unity.

Operation "Sana 95" and the liberation of Sanski Most showed the strength of unity, military skill and the indestructible spirit of those who knew that the homeland is defended with both heart and honor - added Lendo.



He also stated that it is the obligation of all generations to turn the legacy of heroes into inspiration for building a more just and stronger society, in which every person will live with dignity, in peace and mutual respect.

- Dear citizens of Sanski Most, I congratulate you on this day and may it always remind you that freedom is the greatest value we have - and that it is our duty to preserve and nurture it - concluded Lendo.

As part of the celebration of the Day of Liberation of Sanski Most, Lendo visited the Mayor of the Municipality, Mensur Seferović. During the conversation, the importance of continuous support for the development of this region was highlighted, especially in the areas of infrastructure, employment and preserving the memory of the heroic struggle for freedom.



Lendo, together with representatives of veterans' associations and local authorities, laid flowers at the central memorial to the martyrs and fallen soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, paying tribute to all the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
