Lendo: The Second Corps was and remains a symbol of resistance, strength, and defiance against the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo, attended the Ceremonial Academy in Tuzla today, held on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Second Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During his address to the attendees, Lendo emphasized the significance of the Second Corps, which, as he stated, was and remains a symbol of resistance, strength, and defiance against the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina. The heroism of the members of the Second Corps, he added, preserved Tuzla and the entire Tuzla region.

"Their courage in the most difficult times was and remains a guarantee of the survival of our state. Today, more than three decades later, we are faced with political, institutional, and economic pressures. Our obligation is to be united, to defend the truth, and to protect the state. Only through the unity of patriotic forces can we preserve what was defended with blood – a free and united Bosnia and Herzegovina," Lendo stated.

He expressed special gratitude to the families of martyrs, war veterans, demobilized soldiers, and veterans of the Second Corps, emphasizing that their sacrifice and dedication are the foundation of the freedom we live today.

Vice President Lendo laid flowers at the memorial in Tuzla and paid tribute to all martyrs and fallen soldiers of the Army of RBiH by reciting Fatiha.

During his visit, he also met with the Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton, Irfan Halilagić, with whom he discussed the work of the Government of Tuzla Canton, relations with the federal level of government, economic development, and the implementation of the most important infrastructure projects in this canton.
