(Patria) - The Antiguan Racer team, which includes Lejla Salihović, a player from SF Respekt from Sarajevo and one of the four ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Football for Friendship project, won in the finals of this year's tournament, thus concluding this year's project in Madrid. The final match was played at Plaza Mayor, the UEFA Champions League pitch in the center of Madrid, ahead of the UEFA Champions League final.

"I am very proud because we all played well as a team, socialized, and we weren't even stressed about winning, so it's even nicer that we won the trophy. I think teamwork and cooperation on the field made the difference. I am happy that I represented Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Respekt Football School in the right way," said Lejla.

The media also reported that Lejla is a great sportswoman after she, instead of celebrating the victory, approached a crying player from the opposing team, Tasmanian Devil, to comfort her, thus winning the sympathy of everyone present at Plaza Mayor. The trophy was presented to the winning team by Roberto Carlos, a famous Brazilian footballer and national team player who, according to football experts, achieved his best football results in Spain, playing for Real Madrid.

Before the Football for Friendship final match, by decision of the tournament participants, this year's Nine Values Cup was awarded to FC Liverpool, which defeated FC Tottenham 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League final match, thus becoming the champion for the sixth time. The BH delegation of Gazprom's Football for Friendship project also included Anja Gačić, a fourteen-year-old representative of the WU16 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a coach and footballer in the Sporting Teslić Football Academy with boys, as well as in the women's football club Sloga from Petrovo; Slavko Roguljić, goalkeeper of Sport Team from Banja Luka, and Samra Osmanović from Gračanica, a player for ŽFK Petrovo, who reached the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the competition with their teams, while Samra was part of the Football for Friendship squad that participated in setting the world record for training with the largest number of different nationalities in the world – as many as 57.

More than 800 participants of this year's Football for Friendship final event gathered participants from more than 60 countries and regions, 57 nationalities from all over the world who played in 32 international teams composed of 12-year-old boy and girl footballers, and 14-year-old young coaches.
