Legia routinely defeated Zrinjski in Warsaw, Mostar team further from continuing competition

(Patria) - Zrinjski team was defeated tonight in Warsaw by host Legia, in the fourth round of the Conference League.

The Mostar team started the match a bit better, besides having more possession of the ball, they were more often in the host team's half and tried to create an action that would seriously threaten Hladun's goal.

However, in the 15th minute, Legia took the lead after their first corner. Zrinjski players did not follow Legia players well, nor were they well positioned. Augustyniak was left alone at the far post and sent the ball into the net without any problems for a 1:0 lead.

After the goal, Legia players continued to keep possession of the ball. In the 27th minute, Muci shot, but the ball went over the goal.

Three minutes later, Zrinjski also had an opportunity. After Čanađija's shot, the ball went into a corner, after which there was a big scramble in front of the goal, but eventually, an offside position was called.

In the very next attack, new problems for Zrinjski. Ćorluka carelessly fouled one of the home team's players, and the main referee pointed to the penalty spot. Josue was a sure penalty taker and thus doubled the lead for the Poles.

Legia continued to control the match after the second goal. They did not seriously threaten Zrinjski's goal, but they did not allow them to gain significant possession of the ball, let alone create a serious chance.

Only in the 38th minute did Bilbija take a shot that was completely harmless. However, in the 45th minute, Čanađija got hold of a ball, but from a very good position in the penalty area, he shot over the home team's goal, and the first half ended like that.

The Polish team continued to create chances in the second half, but Kapuadi and Wzsolek, fortunately, did not convert them.

Towards the end of the match, the "Plemići" played more offensively, but they did not manage to at least halve the hosts' lead. The score remained 2:0 until the end of the match.
