Lavić: A major conflict of three concepts is underway in BiH - one supposedly towards the EU, another status quo, and a third with Russia

(Patria) - Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, Senadin Lavić, was a guest on Hayat Television tonight, where he spoke about the current political situation, the announcement of the breakdown of one coalition and the attempt to establish another at the BiH level, and the trial of RS President Milorad Dodik.

Lavić says it is unacceptable that some people, elected by the people to work in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, do not attend sessions. He points out that this cannot be explained by rational means or concepts.

- This is an abuse of position, an abuse of citizens' trust, and it is a morally irresponsible act towards the system we live in. I expect this to be regulated very soon, either by a decision of the High Representative or in some other way.

This, of course, causes revolt among citizens, and one must ask what these people are doing and who they are, who they are playing with. The whole scene is a farce. Today's scenes in front of the Court are as if Dodik is going into a boxing match ring - says Lavić.

He adds that the overall political space is far from what politics should be doing - enacting laws that improve the quality of life for citizens.

- It always seems to me that all of this is in the function of blocking Bosnia and Herzegovina and then using that to blackmail someone who wants things to go differently.

It seems that a major conflict of two or three concepts is underway in BiH, according to which one supposedly wants to lead BiH towards the EU and the European system, another would prefer the status quo, and a third would go somewhere with Russia, or they themselves don't know where they would go.

Essentially, most of them do not want anything to change because they are doing very well in political bodies and organizations and live very comfortably. At the same time, they have no results from their work, and they do not have to answer for it, nor do they face any consequences - added Professor Lavić.
