Lagumdžija called for urgent dialogue

Regarding the current situation in Ukraine, Zlatko Lagumdžija, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, has spoken out, calling for urgent dialogue among all relevant international factors in order to prevent a dangerous escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, which could have unforeseeable consequences for regional and global stability.

- An urgent de-escalation of tensions is a key prerequisite for preserving the peace, security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine as a full member of the UN. A sovereign Ukraine and its peoples have the right to define their future independently, peacefully, and through democratic dialogue that guarantees stability, and the international community has the duty and obligation to support this – said Lagumdžija, reports NAP.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH reiterated earlier appeals to all citizens of BiH to refrain from traveling to Ukraine, and to all those who are on its territory to act according to the MFA's instructions.
