Cult Mahaluša celebrates fourth birthday on Wednesday

The cult Sarajevo play „Ja, Mahaluša“ will be performed for the 150th time on Wednesday, March 25 at 8 PM at the Chamber Theatre 55.  The fourth birthday of the successful „mahalanje“ on theatre stages in BiH and the region will also be celebrated, reports the Patria news agency.

„Ja, mahaluša“ is an irreplaceable comedy that, even after four years of performances, delights, enriches, entertains, and knocks audiences off their feet.

It will be an opportunity for those who have not yet managed to see this hit comedy, as well as those who have seen it several times, to solidify the material. And to see the unmatched Nela Đenisijević and irresistible Nenad Tešić, as well as the passionate Cabaret Ensemble in their alluring and dance-filled performance on the boards that mean life.

„Ja, mahaluša“ is a cabaret that has united all generations, different professions and statuses, because, among other things, it does not divide the audience by title, knowledge, or education, but is open to everyone who is ready to have fun while fully opening their eyes to what is happening within us and around us.

These four years have passed like a dream for us, and they contain so many events that it can easily be said we have lived a hundred years together. We performed throughout BiH, the region, visited three continents, argued and reconciled, took breaks and had children, gained thousands of fans and won sympathies wherever we went.

In short, we realized our dream – to live love and share joy with everyone. The audience fell in love with us, and we with them – are the words of author and producer Indira Kučuk-Sorguč, whose bestseller inspired the play.

The stage life of „mahalanje“ began with „Mahaluša“, which told our reality in a musical-stage manner using the language of slang, imitation, song, jokes, and humor.

It will be another performance of this first BiH original cabaret, which has been seen by more than 100 thousand fans so far.

For this comedy about male-female relationships, there is always a demand for an extra ticket because it offers original entertainment through unique Bosnian humor, lucid text, a well-thought-out choice of music, movement, and dance numbers.

Tickets can be reserved at the box office of the Chamber Theatre 55 every day from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 4 PM to 8 PM.
