Kulenović: Gaza is a metaphor for Palestine, and Srebrenica, Sarajevo and other cities are a metaphor for the genocidal reality of Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - A regular session of Krug 99 was held today in Sarajevo on the topic "Abuse of the Holocaust for the purpose of dividing Bosnia and Herzegovina". The introductory speaker was diplomat, publicist and former ambassador Fuad Đidić.

The occasion for this topic was the marking of the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.

- We wish to express our condolences to all those whom it concerns most - that is, the Jews. The Holocaust is an indisputable historical fact that marked one people.

We bow to the shadows of those who perished in unimaginable suffering even today. And the experience of survivors of genocidal intent and act in Bosnia and Herzegovina only strengthens our sincere reverence - said the president of Krug 99, Adil Kulenović.

He emphasizes that we must confront and clearly express our stance and resistance to the abuse of the Holocaust for the purpose of dividing Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Our introductory speaker, who is also our member, is Fuad Đidić, a former ambassador who has the difficult task of discerning all the layers and dimensions of the contemporary abuse of the halo of the Holocaust and its instrumentalization for political purposes. Whose goal is not a correct understanding of the past, but manipulation of the present.

In our case, touching the most painful strings due to which we inherit a genocidal past and fears of repetition, for the undisguised and old goal of fragmentation and division of our country and society.

Our attitude towards the Holocaust must be an unconditional recognition of facts, but also a moral attitude of unquestionable compassion and remorse in the face of contemporary phenomena.

Gaza is a reality and a metaphor for Palestine, and Srebrenica, Sarajevo and other cities are a reality and a metaphor for the genocidal reality and a metaphor for Bosnia and Herzegovina - Kulenović points out.

He notes that the Holocaust has become an identity symbol and an excuse for everything - a slogan for conquering new territories and a perfect weapon for preventing criticism of Israel.

- Today we are witnessing that the Holocaust has become a permanent justification for crimes that are being committed and will be committed. In the name of the Holocaust, killing is intended to "preventively protect".

Zionists use the Holocaust in their own interest because, as the Jewish political scientist Norman Finkelstein states, the Holocaust has become an ideological weapon for justifying the criminal policy of the Israeli state and American and part of European support for that policy.

This is not claimed only by him, but also by the entire international Jewish anti-Zionist network that brings together numerous organizations and activists around the world.

One of the more prominent is Jewish Voice for Peace, loudly represented by Susan Fox through anti-Zionist activism, but also the organization Neturei Karta led by Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, who right at Krug 99 last year loudly renounced Israel, Zionism and the abuse of the Holocaust for the purpose of justifying genocide, crimes, racist attacks and spreading hatred against all who do not support Zionist ideology.

In Jewish communities around the world, there is an intellectual anti-Zionist movement, one of whose most prominent representatives is Ilan Pappe, whose two books have been translated into Bosnian - "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" and "Ten Myths About Israel" - says Kulenović.

According to his words, the ideological weapon of Zionism, the Holocaust, which has already been exposed by the brightest Jewish intellectuals, is an instrument of realpolitik of the regime of today's Israel and political alliance with regional and European collaborators in breaking up Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Even at the cost of abusing the halo of the Holocaust and amnesty for states that have not ensured a cathartic confrontation in their own societies with the scale of their own legacy of the Holocaust.

On the contrary, they already indulge the ideological allies of genocide and the Holocaust, by demonizing victims and destroying Bosnian society on a Nazi matrix.

Opposed to this, Sarajevo in particular should advocate for the realization of the idea of a Museum of the Holocaust and Genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as nowhere else in the wider region. This would be a moral stance and a path towards rejecting the fragmentation of genocide in the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina to only a local area.

A path that would lead to full historical truth and contribute to the denazification of the entire society and the healing of regional relations. And it was precisely the Israeli journalist Michael B. who wrote in an article in "Haaretz" that he disagrees with those who believe that you must kill an entire nation for it to be considered that you have committed genocide.

Michael believes that starving people, denying water, delaying the delivery of humanitarian aid, endless torture, moving from one place to another, systematic destruction of residential areas, religious buildings and schools, burying thousands of people under rubble, hiring someone to raze Gaza to the ground, is more than enough to be classified as genocide.

And what else was that but exactly that in the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina - added Kulenović.
