KUIP on the 'Aeroo' application: Illegal transportation will not be allowed in KS

(Patria) - Following the announcement of the activation of the internet application “Aeroo”, which is presented on social networks as a modern passenger transport service, a meeting was held at the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of KS (KS) between director Adis Mešić and traffic inspectors within the Inspectorate of Traffic and Road Inspection.

The meeting highlighted that, according to the information available so far, regarding the new transport service, although it is announced as a modern, transparent, and safe form of service, its official business headquarters in Bosnia and Herzegovina are unknown, as are the responsible persons and other details related to the platform's compliance with positive legal regulations in our country and the Canton of Sarajevo, as well as the employment status of drivers.

Given that the provision of public passenger transport is explicitly regulated by legal provisions, meaning that public passenger transport is carried out exclusively by buses and passenger vehicles/taxi transport, it is clear that this type of transport is nothing more than an attempt to conduct illegal activities. Therefore, in order to prevent any illegal actions, as well as to protect public and private interests, cantonal traffic inspectors, in cooperation with all available capacities of this body, will conduct intensive and all-day inspection supervision in the upcoming period and undertake all measures provided by law against individuals who are found to be operating without authorization in this area.

In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Road Transport of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, fines for individuals, in this case, drivers who enter into a contract with “Aeroo” and provide public transport without meeting the legally prescribed conditions, range from 500 to 1,500 KM.

We also appeal to citizens, i.e., users of public transport services, to refrain from using the mentioned application for their own safety and not to fall for marketing tricks, and to use legally permitted forms of public passenger transport in the Canton of Sarajevo", stated the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs.
