KUCZ KS: Immediately take necessary preventive measures against heavy snow, low temperatures, ice and icicles

(Patria) - Given that in the coming period, according to weather forecasts from the Federal Meteorological Institute of BiH, a deterioration of weather conditions is expected, accompanied by snowfall and low temperatures, which will affect certain areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Sarajevo Canton, the Cantonal Administration of Civil Protection of Sarajevo Canton warns all legal and natural persons to IMMEDIATELY, in accordance with their competencies and obligations prescribed by the Law on Protection and Rescue of People and Material Goods from Natural and Other Disasters, take the necessary preventive measures against heavy snow and low temperatures, ice and icicles.

The KUCZ KS requests that adequate forces and material-technical resources be prepared for a rapid response to the announced deterioration of weather conditions, because only in this way will conditions be created for a more efficient and faster response of all subjects of the protection and rescue system in a comprehensive response to all future potential challenges and threats, thereby avoiding major material damage that may occur due to snowfall, low temperatures, ice and icicles.

"We especially appeal to legal entities that have signed agreements or contracts with all levels of government - municipalities, Sarajevo Canton, Federation of BiH - to prepare adequate machinery and to react on time to the announced snowfall, as well as to all legal and natural persons to take timely measures for cleaning and removing snow, ice and icicles, as prescribed by the Law on Communal Cleanliness and the Law on Management of Common Parts of Buildings," it was stated.
