KS Crisis Staff: Holiday and Ramadan days under special conditions

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Given that three major religious holidays are approaching in the coming days and months, namely Catholic Easter, Orthodox Easter, and the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan, the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton for monitoring and analyzing the situation caused by the spread of coronavirus has, from today's session, sent another call to the citizens of Sarajevo Canton to limit all their movements.

At the same time, they recommend reducing close, i.e., personal contacts with other people to the minimum possible. Also, they remind that in situations where it is absolutely necessary, physical distance and wearing prescribed protective equipment must be respected.

Regardless of the fact that these holidays, according to our customs, involve intense family gatherings, as well as contacts with friends, neighbors, and other unknown persons, the staff members once again appeal to all citizens to mark the upcoming holidays under special conditions. They insist on the mandatory application of all previously issued orders of the cantonal and federal civil protection staffs.

"For all of us, in this global pandemic crisis, the primary goal must be the protection of our health, and thus the maintenance of the currently stable epidemiological situation in our Canton, with a relatively small number of infected residents with coronavirus in the coming weeks as well," the members of this staff conveyed once again.
