Criticism from PDP over fugitive Galić: Unacceptable that a person with a warrant remains deputy director of SIPA

(Patria) - The character of the authorities in this country is best illustrated by the fact that the minister, no less than the minister of security, is postponing the dismissal of a person who is on the run to avoid arrest based on an investigation from the Sky case and suspicion of corruption, it was announced from the PDP after the Minister of Security in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, removed from the agenda of the Council of Ministers meeting the agenda item regarding the dismissal of Zoran Galić from the position of deputy director of SIPA.

"The character of the authorities is also illustrated by the fact that the deputy director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) is on the run due to suspicions of having committed several criminal offenses, and the withdrawal of the agenda item by the minister and the failure to hold the meeting at which he was supposed to be dismissed further confirms the state of security in Bosnia and Herzegovina," it is stated.

Buying time and keeping a person suspected of high-level corruption crimes and for whom the issuance of a red notice is being considered in such a high position is unacceptable, it is added.

"Due to the seriousness of this issue, we hope that all the ambiguities that Nešić cited as the reason for not holding yesterday's meeting have been resolved by today, and that a meeting will be held today at which Galić will be dismissed from the position of deputy director of SIPA," it was announced from the PDP.
