TELEPHONE SESSION Krišto signs FATF commitments on behalf of the Council of Ministers of BiH

(Patria) - At today's extraordinary telephone session, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina unanimously authorized Chairwoman Borjana Krišto to sign, on behalf of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Letter of High-Level Political Commitment, confirming the acceptance of the Action Plan of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and Bosnia and Herzegovina's commitment to its full, timely and coordinated implementation.

Previously, the Information of the Ministry of Security of BiH on the current status of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the FATF/ICRG procedure and the need to sign the letter of high-level political commitment was adopted, after the continuation of the FATF review of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the implementation of its Action Plan was recommended.

Acceptance of the Action Plan confirms the political and institutional readiness of Bosnia and Herzegovina to, within agreed deadlines and in accordance with the constitutional and legal competencies of institutions, continue implementing measures to strengthen the system for preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
