Krišto with Jessika Roswall: BiH Council of Ministers remains focused on fulfilling remaining conditions

(Patria) - Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto spoke today
in Sarajevo with the Minister for EU Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Jessika Roswall about improving bilateral cooperation and BiH's European path.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Sweden are good, friendly, and without open issues.

Krišto expressed gratitude to Sweden for the continuous support it provides to BiH on its European path. She pointed out that the European Council's decision last week to start accession negotiations with the EU represents a huge step forward for Bosnia and Herzegovina and is a confirmation and recognition of joint work and dedication, which resulted in the final achievement of the necessary level of alignment with the criteria for European Union membership.

She emphasized that the BiH Council of Ministers remains focused on fulfilling the remaining conditions and is committed to implementing reforms, with the aim of strengthening democracy, the rule of law, and the economic development of our country. She added that everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina is aware that many challenges, obligations, and hard work lie ahead.

Krišto highlighted a strong commitment to comprehensive electoral reform and, in this context, stated that we need to give full support to the continuation of dialogue and compromise, and above all to solutions that are the result of the work of institutions in BiH. Only such solutions can ensure that BiH remains a stable, prosperous, and sovereign country within the European family.
Chairperson Krišto stated that the BiH Council of Ministers continues to work at the same tireless pace, because reforms benefit everyone in BiH.

She added that the strong support of friendly Sweden and all friends in the EU provides additional motivation to face these challenges in achieving the ultimate goal, which is full membership in the European Union.
