Krišto with German Minister for Europe Luhrmann on European integration

(Patria) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairperson Borjana Krišto discussed European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany with German Minister of State for Europe and Climate Anna Luhrmann today.

Krišto expressed gratitude to the Federal Republic of Germany for its strong support of Bosnia and Herzegovina's European perspective.

She emphasized that it is of exceptional importance for our country to receive a decision on opening accession negotiations at the upcoming European Council meeting in March this year. With this goal in mind, Krišto stressed, the Council of Ministers of BiH remains focused on fulfilling the necessary reforms from the 8+1 conditions, i.e., the 14 key priorities from the European Commission's Opinion.

Krišto informed the Minister about the activities being carried out regarding the development of the Reform Plan for the Western Balkans Growth Plan. She also informed the Minister about the active work on developing a modern, competitive, ecologically and climatically sustainable energy system.

At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that only through open dialogue and consensus in decision-making by the institutions and authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while respecting the constitutional structure and competencies of institutions at all levels of government, can we ensure lasting stability, prosperity, and the implementation of necessary reforms.
