Krišto confirms: Košarac obstructs the election of members of the Commission for Concessions and the implementation of the Constitutional Court's decision on Buk Bijela!

(Patria) - The BiH Commission for Concessions is not functioning, its members' mandates have expired, one tender for the election of new members has been cancelled, and on February 23, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina ordered an urgent launch of the procedure for announcing a new tender, confirmed today the Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto.

“The Council of Ministers of BiH has tasked the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations to initiate the tender procedure for the appointment of seven members of the Commission for Concessions. To this moment, the Council of Ministers of BiH has not received information in accordance with the conclusion from the 3rd session of the Council of Ministers of BiH,” Krišto said in response to questions from MP Denis Zvizdić.

Therefore, Staša Košarac (SNSD) has not taken a single step since that urgent task given to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and there is no appointment for now.

We remind you that the Constitutional Court of BiH tasked the Commission for Concessions of BiH to resolve the dispute between the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entity of Rs regarding the granting of a concession for the construction of the Buk Bijela hydroelectric power plant.

This is a joint project of Rs and Serbia, which forms a joint company whose majority owner with 51 percent will be a company from Serbia. The dispute arose because Rs granted the concession bypassing the state of BiH and it is supposed to be resolved by the Commission for Concessions. However, it has not managed to complete that task.

The previous tender that was announced was cancelled by Minister Košarac himself, who continues to obstruct the formation of the commission.

Last year, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina forwarded the decision on the non-execution of the Constitutional Court's decision to the BiH Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings.
