(Patria) - The Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto sent a letter and Information to Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi with an overview of key reforms that have been made in the past year, as well as those that are being intensively worked on and are in the final stages.
Krišto sent the letter with the Information ahead of the upcoming decision of the European Council on the start of negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"In the firm belief that, based on the stated results achieved, we have reached an adequate level of alignment with European criteria, I am sending you attached Information with an overview of key reforms that have been made in the past year, as well as those that we are intensively working on and that are in the final stages.
The activities we have achieved are the result of our comprehensive and dedicated work, and the cooperation of competent institutions at all levels of government. These achieved goals, although only part of a wider range of activities we have carried out, are of vital importance for our next step towards membership in the European Union. With every step, we are strengthening the foundations of our future integration into the European family. We remain firmly committed to fulfilling key priorities and implementing reform processes," Krišto said in the letter to Commissioner Varhelyi.
She informed the Commissioner that several documents crucial for fulfilling our country's reform obligations, including the Law on the Court of BiH, will be on the agenda of the upcoming session of the BiH Council of Ministers.
She stated that all these processes require daily dedication, cooperation, and determination from all political representatives, which is clearly visible, all in order to ensure that Bosnia and Herzegovina realizes its full potential and becomes a stable, prosperous, and functional state, a full member of the European Union. In this spirit, she once again emphasized that everyone in BiH expects a positive decision from the European Council on opening negotiations with our country this month.
