
(Patria) - An agreement between BiH and Croatia on the construction of the South Interconnection gas pipeline was signed in Dubrovnik, after the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Presidency of BiH gave their consent to the text of the agreement.
The agreement was signed at the Three Seas Initiative Summit. On behalf of BiH, the agreement was signed by the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto, and on behalf of the Government of Croatia, by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. The US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, as well as the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in BiH John Ginkel, also attended the signing of the agreement.
The BiH delegation also included the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament Dragan Čović, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković, and the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry in the Government of FBiH Vedran Lakić.
The agreement regulates the basis for cooperation and joint construction of the interconnection (each on their own side) on the route Zagvozd (Republic of Croatia) – Posušje (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – Tomislavgrad – Šuica – Kupres – Bugojno – Novi Travnik/Travnik and the route Posušje – Grude – Široki Brijeg – Mostar, with branches towards Livno, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Donji Vakuf and Jajce, and a branch for Čapljina and an additional route Kladanj – Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Split – Zagvozd gas pipeline in the Republic of Croatia.
