Summer Flight Schedule at Sarajevo Airport Begins: 24 Airlines to Operate Flights to 40 Destinations Across Europe and the World

(Patria) - Starting March 29, the summer flight schedule comes into effect at Sarajevo International Airport, under which 24 airlines will operate flights to 40 destinations across Europe and the world.

This season is also marked by the introduction of three new direct flight routes - to Paris (Orly), Berlin, and Ankara, further enhancing the international connectivity of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The low-cost airline Transavia France, a member of the Air France-KLM group, is entering the Bosnian and Herzegovinian market for the first time and will establish a direct Paris (Orly) - Sarajevo route starting April 17. Flights will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, with ticket prices available from 69 euros per direction.

The introduction of this route represents a significant step in connecting Sarajevo with the French capital, one of the key European and world centers of politics, culture, and business, and opens up additional opportunities for the development of tourist and business flows between the two countries.

Eurowings will re-establish the direct Berlin - Sarajevo route from May 9 to October 24, 2026. Flights will operate once a week in May, June, September, and October (Saturdays), and twice a week in July and August (Thursdays and Saturdays).

The return of this route is the result of joint activities by Sarajevo International Airport, the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board - Visit Sarajevo, and the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, aimed at strengthening the tourist offer and improving the international accessibility of the destination.

Berlin thus joins the existing Eurowings routes to Cologne and Stuttgart, further strengthening connectivity with Germany.

From July 1, AJet airline will also introduce a new direct Ankara - Sarajevo route, with flights operating twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This route further strengthens Sarajevo's ties with the capital of Turkey and contributes to the development of tourist, business, and cultural exchanges.

Numerous seasonal destinations are returning as part of the summer flight schedule, including Thessaloniki, Copenhagen, Oslo, Paris (Beauvais), Doha, Muscat, Kuwait, Riyadh, Dammam, Bodrum, Izmir, Antalya, and Hurghada.

Flights to these destinations are operated by renowned airlines, including Norwegian Air Shuttle, Norwegian Air Sweden, SAS, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, Kuwait Airways, Flynas, and others.

The continuous expansion of the destination network and the arrival of new airlines confirm Sarajevo's growing importance as a regional air and tourist center, and further contribute to strengthening its international recognition and competitiveness.
