Krčmarević new coach of Plavi: A lot of work ahead of us

Former coach of Apollon, Anorthosis, Serbia's youth national team, Slobodan Krčmarević is the new coach of FK Željezničar.

Born in Belgrade (52), who started at Partizan, during his playing career he also played for Bor, AIK, OFK Beograd, Apollon, Anorthosis, PAOK and Panionios. He began his coaching career as the coach of the U19 selection of Serbia and Montenegro, and later coached Partizan's juniors and Serbia's youth national team. He was also the coach of Apollon, Anorthosis and Doxa in Cyprus, coach of Kazakhstan U21, and in the last two years coach of Rudar Velenje and Pobeda from Prilep.

– It is a great challenge for me to come to FK Željezničar, a club with a great tradition. In addition, this is a huge responsibility because we know what the expectations of the fans and the club management are. However, first of all, I want to say that there is a lot of work ahead of us now because we have to be maximally prepared for the first round of the Europa League. We have thoroughly studied the team and the players, some of whom I know from before. I can only say that my associates and I will give our best to make the fans satisfied - said Krčmarević.

The official presentation of the new coach will be held at the Grbavica Stadium at the beginning of preparations for the upcoming season.
