(Patria) - During the day, the cessation of the emergency hydrological situation is expected across the entire water area of the Sava River in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the information on water levels at 10 a.m. from the Sava River Water Agency.
A decrease in water levels is recorded on all watercourses. Given that no significant new precipitation is forecast, complete stabilization of the hydrological situation is expected by the end of the day.
"Favorable weather conditions are also expected in the coming days, which will lead to additional stabilization of the hydrological situation.
Currently, a rise in water levels is recorded only on the Sava River, caused by the outflow of water from the entire basin.
According to simulation results, water levels will continue to rise in the coming days, but will not reach the values at which regular flood defense begins in the area of Odžak and Central Posavina," the Agency stated.
The forecast information is provided based on forecast precipitation data, so changes in the weather forecast may also affect the forecast hydrological situation.
In the event of a significant change in weather conditions in the Sava River water area, the Agency will issue a timely notice regarding the forecast of an emergency hydrological situation.
