End for BiH representatives at the Olympic Games: Shot putters also far from the final

Mesud Pezer, Hamza Alić and Kemal Mešić, BiH shot putters, failed to qualify for the final at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

In Group A, Kemal Mešić placed 13th with a throw of 19.48, which was not enough for the final. Kemal Mešić finished 16th in the same group with a best result of 18.84, while Hamza Alić competed in Group B - finishing 12th with a best throw of 19.55.

Essentially, for all BiH representatives - the Olympic Games are over.

The qualifying standard of 20.65 m was surpassed by six athletes, while the other six entered the final based on their results.  

The best results in the qualifications were achieved by American Ryan Crouser - 21.59 m and New Zealander Thomas Walsh - 21.03 meters.

The final competition in shot put will be held on Friday, August 19, early in the morning at 01:30 AM local time.
