Kožljak: Nešić uses the position of Minister of Security for nationalist, base, and offensive rhetoric

(Patria) - Alija Kožljak, Head of Cabinet of the BiH Presidency Member Denis Bećirović, responded to the public statement of the BiH Minister of Security Nenad Nešić. Commenting on the statement of the Association of Generals of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nešić made a series of insults and provocations against the BiH Presidency Member Denis Bećirović.

"Nešić becomes contradictory when, after hundreds of attacks from the RS, he says that Bećirović does not bother them. Only the naive can believe that people who do not bother them are being attacked. Such cheap propaganda tricks by Nešić, which are more than transparent, speak volumes about their author. For some time now, Minister Nešić has been part of a media campaign directed against the BiH Presidency Member, Dr. Denis Bećirović, so he does not choose the occasion or time to insult, insinuate, and provoke in order to remain present in the media space.

In recent years, we have seen that politicians from the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of RS try to persuade and mobilize a part of the public with aggressive attacks on those who see the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina as unified, whole, and sovereign, and consider all its citizens equal.

There is no other explanation for the constant reactions and cheap populism of Minister Nešić. He has been entrusted with the honorable position of Minister of Security of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which implies a responsible and professional approach to security threats and challenges, all for the sake of peace and stability, as basic prerequisites for prosperity and progress. Therefore, it is inappropriate for Mr. Nešić to use the position of Minister of Security for nationalist, base, and offensive rhetoric," emphasizes Kožljak.

As for the order, we will refrain from commenting for now, because Nešić and others like him are leading the RS down a path of isolation and sanctions that post-Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina has not seen, Nešić stated.

"For all these reasons, it would be more appropriate if the policy of Nenad Nešić and other politicians from the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of RS, instead of attacking the BiH Presidency Member Dr. Denis Bećirović, was directed towards the development and stability of the entire state of Bosnia and Herzegovina," Kožljak concluded.
