Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball players beat Portugal after a comeback, play Poland tomorrow

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team opened the Olympic Games pre-qualifiers with a victory over Portugal in the Gliwice Arena.

The Portuguese started the match better, achieving a respectable 11:4 lead early on, and finished the first quarter with a 24:17 lead. The fast Portuguese guards continued to cause problems for the Dragons in the second quarter, leading by nine points (30:21).

However, with a slightly tougher defensive game, coach Adis Bećiragić's team managed to reduce the deficit, and the teams went into halftime with Portugal leading 40:37.

The third quarter was dominated by our national team, which managed to make a comeback with several brilliant offensive plays and even better defensive performance. The Dragons entered the final period of the game with a 58:54 lead.
