Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball players play Latvia tonight in Riga

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The basketball national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina starts the qualifications for the 2021 European Championship tonight with an away game against Latvia in Riga.

Coach Vedran Bosnić warned that the opponents of the BiH national team are among the top European basketball teams, and emphasized that BiH wants to start the qualifications with a victory.

“Our opponents are regular participants of European championships who often place among the top eight teams. They may be favorites, but we are preparing to beat them. If we all play at our maximum level, we can do it. We are going to fight, because we want to play in the European Championship,” Bosnić stated earlier.

Bosnić reminded that Latvia plays a fast-paced game with a large number of shots from outside positions.

“The most important thing is to play as a team and try to stop their fast transition game. If we succeed in that and if we don't allow them a lot of points, we can achieve victory,” said the coach.

For this qualifying window, Bosnić invited the following basketball players: Ismet Sejfić, Andrija Stipanović, Filip Adamović, Miralem Halilović, Muhamed Pašalić, Kenan Kamenjaš, Edin Atić, Draško Knežević, Milan Milošević, Adin Vrabac, Aleksandar Lazić, Jure Zubac, Emir Sulejmanović, Sani Čampara, Amar Alibegović, and Amar Gegić.
