Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball players crushed Hungarians by 25 points, Musa most effective with 26 points

(Patria) - Adis Bećiragić's team crushed their rivals tonight and qualified for the semi-finals of the pre-qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games, with the final score being 78:103.

Our team opened the match with a 0:5 run, Hungarians managed to hit a three-pointer, but that was all they could do in the first few minutes.

After that, our team made an 0:11 run and reached the score of 3:16. By the end of the quarter, the lead increased to 16:36, and at one point it was 22 points difference, making it one of the best quarters in our team's history.

In the second quarter, both teams scored fewer points than in the first, but our team, led by Musa, Nurkić, and Garza, increased the lead by another nine points by halftime, to a total of 29, and it was already clear who would emerge as the winner of this duel.

The Hungarian coach's idea in the second half was clearly to try something with quick fouls, but it didn't work.

Hungarians quickly entered the bonus, which our players used more or less successfully (by the way, they committed only one foul in the third quarter), and improved their lead by another two points in this quarter, making it 52:83.

Hungary opened the last quarter with a 4:0 run, and it was generally the only quarter in which they managed to reduce the Dragons' lead, who still managed to reach a triple-digit score and qualify for the tournament semi-finals in a dominant fashion.

The undisputed star of the match was Džanan Musa with 26 points, five rebounds, and seven assists, followed by Amar Alibegović with 14 points, five rebounds, and two assists, and Jusuf Nurkić who recorded a double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists. Garza also scored in double digits with 10 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

For Hungary, Perl stood out with 21 points, three rebounds, and five assists, while Vojvoda recorded 17 points and three assists.

Our team, as the second-placed team in group B, will play against Israel in the semi-finals in two days, while Poland, as the group winner, will play against the second-placed team from group A and another host of this tournament, Estonia.
