Basketball: Dragons defeated Bulgaria, topping the table with Lithuania

The BiH national team achieved its second victory in the World Cup qualifiers. The Bulgarian national team was defeated away with a score of 85 - 75.

We started the match ahead of the Bulgarians, and in the middle of the first quarter, we had a double-digit lead (18:8). We had a maximum of 11 points lead, but the home team managed to come back in the second period, even taking the lead (34:33).

Coach Vedran Bosnić's team managed to regain a double-digit lead at the start of the second quarter, but the Bulgarians quickly closed the gap, and the Dragons' coach called a timeout with the score at 27:31. The hosts continued with offensive rebounds, which cost us, and they took the lead by one point (34:33).

Our team's play consolidated afterwards, and with just over three minutes left, Musa hit a timely three-pointer for 34:38. The Breogan basketball player hit another three-pointer from a long distance, and the Dragons gained a significant lead, which was eight points at the end of the first half (42:50).

In the third quarter, BiH kept the game under control, and the lead increased further. It was 14 points difference.

In the last quarter, there was a slight drop in the BiH team's play. Bulgaria closed the gap to six points with a 9-0 run three minutes before the end. Coach Bosnić then calmed his team with a timeout, and Robertson finally broke the game with a three-pointer. In the end, BiH celebrated a deserved victory.
