Košarac convenes meeting: Serbs employed in BiH institutions will not come to work on January 9th

(Patria) - Ministers and deputy ministers from Republika Srpska in the Council of Ministers held a meeting today where a decision was made that January 9th, which is celebrated as the Day of RS, even though that date has been challenged by the Constitutional Court of BiH. However, the authorities of RS continue with their previous practice and are making preparations for the upcoming January 9th.

"The Day of the Republic - January 9th is our holiday and we will celebrate it as before - with dignity, with the citizens and institutions of Republika Srpska," announced the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac (SNSD).

Košarac stated that representatives of Serb ethnicity employed in BiH institutions will not work on that day, regardless of the fact that it is a working day in the Federation of BiH.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance and Treasury, Srđan Amidžić, and deputy ministers of Defence, Aleksandar Goganović, Communications and Transport, Ognjen Јanjić, and Civil Affairs, Mirijana Mojić.

We remind you that on November 21st, the anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, it was also a non-working day in RS, and employees from RS also did not work in state institutions on that day.
