Košarac called on transporters to block the EU Delegation in Sarajevo, not the borders

(Patria) - The European Commission has a completely ignorant stance towards transporters from the Western Balkan countries, and the "Logistika" Consortium should demonstrate its capacities at the EU Delegation headquarters in Sarajevo, assessed the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Staša Košarac.

Košarac pointed out that the Council of Ministers had discussed this several times, but that the EU was "playing games with the Western Balkan countries".

"I think the Western Balkan countries should focus on discussions with representatives of the European Commission," Košarac told reporters in Belgrade.

He emphasized that the European Commission's stance so far had been indolent and cruel, and lacked sensibility.

"I think the "Logistika" Consortium should demonstrate its capacities, not at border crossings, but at the EU Delegation headquarters in Sarajevo," said Košarac.

He believes that a type of activity that includes blockades should be manifested in Sarajevo, because stopping foreign trade at border crossings causes serious damage to businessmen in both Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH.

"Of course, this does not diminish the need to resolve the issue of transporters, but also not to harm the reputation, primarily of business contracts, of our business community in both Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH," emphasized Košarac.

He also believes that through their ignorant actions in Europe towards the problems of transporters, they are trying to secure cheap labor because when drivers are apprehended in Western European countries, they are contacted with a request to carry out their work activities in one of those countries.

He pointed out that drivers from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are mostly young people, and that the EU countries need exactly such people.
