Logistika BiH Consortium Issues Final Warning to Authorities: Deadline March 23rd or Protests Across the Region

(Patria) - The Plenum of the Logistika BiH Consortium, as the most organized form of road carrier association in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its session held on March 7, 2026, in Matuzići, addressed the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Governments of the Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Council of Ministers of BiH, parliaments, political parties, and all public office holders.

After 14 months of continuous requests, meetings, letters, and warnings, the Plenum has adopted the following conclusions and demands.

The transport sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the most organized carrier associations of the Western Balkan region, is launching a unified and coordinated regional response covering an area of over 17 million inhabitants.

If credible and systemic solutions to the problems of discrimination against drivers and transport companies are not reached by March 23, 2026, the transport sector will initiate regional protests and institutional activities across the region.

The Plenum notes that in the past 14 months, none of the key demands of the transport sector have been resolved, despite numerous promises and conclusions from institutions.

The following institutions were involved in the process: the Government of the Federation of BiH, the Government of the Republika Srpska, the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, the Council of Ministers of BiH, as well as relevant ministers and responsible officials.

We remind of the political and institutional responsibility of officeholders: Minister Staša Košarac, Minister Elmedin Konaković, Minister Srđan Amidžić, Minister Edin Forto, ministers in the Governments of the Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Director of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH Zoran Tegeltija, as well as the presidents of the relevant commissions in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

The Plenum gives the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina until March 23, 2026, to initiate real and credible activities towards the European Commission and the governments of the region's countries through serious state and regional political cooperation. The transport sector no longer accepts improvisations, media statements, or marketing posts on social networks that create an illusion of solutions. Concrete political and institutional decisions are needed.

Given the warnings that due to existing restrictions and discrimination, up to 50% of the transport sector could be on the verge of closure, the Plenum demands that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina prepare an economic plan to protect the road transport sector.

If the institutions fail to reach a solution with the European Commission and the governments of the region's countries, it is necessary to plan a financial support fund for the transport sector in the amount of approximately 30,000,000 KM per month, in order to maintain the functioning of companies and jobs in the sector.

In the past 14 months, we have spoken with some institutions up to forty times. We have submitted hundreds of pages of analyses, proposals, and solutions. We have forgotten nothing. We have skipped nothing. Our goodwill and patience have been exploited by the institutions, and the transport sector feels deceived and let down today.

"Everything is known to you. All documents have been submitted. All meetings have been held. If concrete solutions are not reached by March 23, 2026, regional protests by the transport sector will be launched across the region. The protests will also include public accountability of officeholders at all levels of Bosnia and Herzegovina's institutions, as the public must know who and why has ignored the solution to the transport sector's problems for 14 months. Information about the responsibility of institutions and individuals will be presented to the public of Bosnia and Herzegovina – door to door, citizen by citizen. The protests will last until the demands of the transport sector are met," announced the Logistika BiH Consortium.
