Logistics Consortium of BiH Warns Authorities: The Time for Delay Is Over!

(Patria) - The Logistics Consortium of BiH has warned that the road transport sector has reached a point where there is no longer room to ignore problems that have persisted for 14 months.

During that period, transport companies and drivers have faced obstructions, promises without concrete solutions, and constant shifting of responsibility.

Road transport is one of the key pillars of the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thousands of companies and tens of thousands of employees directly depend on the functioning of this sector.

Every day without a solution means new losses for the economy, disruptions in supply chains, and additional pressure on market stability, the Logistics Consortium of BiH states.

At a regional meeting of representatives from the transport sector, unity and readiness for joint action in a region of over 17 million inhabitants were confirmed.

This problem, as they note, transcends the borders of one country and directly affects the functioning of regional logistics and trade.

The Logistics Consortium has issued a clear call to BiH institutions - the Council of Ministers of BiH, relevant ministries, the governments of the RS and FBiH - to urgently take responsibility and open operational talks with European Union institutions in Brussels.

"We demand an equal dialogue and concrete solutions that will enable the normal functioning of road transport and the protection of jobs in this sector. The time for delay is over," the Consortium emphasizes.

In the press release, they also state that if BiH institutions continue to ignore the problems of the transport sector, together with regional partners, they will take all legitimate and democratic measures to protect the interests of their members and the stability of supply chains.

"We call on BiH institutions to show responsibility and, together with representatives of the sector, find solutions that will ensure the stability of BiH's economy and international trade," concluded the Logistics Consortium of BiH.
