Logistics Consortium of Bosnia and Herzegovina Postpones Warning Protests, Deadline for Realizing Goals September 1st

(Patria) - Dear transporters, citizens, and representatives of institutions,
The Logistics Consortium of Bosnia and Herzegovina informs the public that, after consultations with the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Government of Republika Srpska, the Government of the Federation of BiH, and in the spirit of regional cooperation of the WB6 format countries, an important step has been made in the institutional response to the demands of the transport community.

Key facts:

• The Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Edin Forto, has agreed on a text that will be officially submitted to the European Commission and relevant EU bodies as the position of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the application of the AETR agreement and the treatment of professional drivers' stays.

• The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konaković, has launched a diplomatic initiative to resolve all legal and technical ambiguities regarding the stay of transport workers in the EU through bilateral and multilateral channels.

• The Council of Ministers of BiH, led by Chairperson Borjana Krišto, as well as the members of the Presidency of BiH, have given full institutional support to the dialogue with the EU, and have undertaken the obligation of continuous communication in order to protect the rights of transporters.

Due to the institutional response achieved:

The Logistics Consortium of BiH accepts that the reasons for the warning protest on 16.06.2025 are met and withdraws the announced border blockade activities, as a sign of responsibility and goodwill, and with faith in a solution through official and diplomatic channels.

However, they remain cautious and determined:

If by 01.09.2025 there are no visible and concrete results in resolving all the demands of the transport industry, the LOGISTICS CONSORTIUM OF BIH will - following the French model - organize a general protest and blockades, starting from 15.08.2025.

We clearly emphasize that preparations for the French model of protest are already underway, and that from 15.08.2025, in every local community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Consortium members will be activated in accordance with the plan for mobilization and organization of protests until all demands are met.
