(Patria) - The process of electing a new director at KJKP "RAD" d.o.o. Sarajevo has once again raised doubts about transparency and political influence.
As announced by the president of KVSBIH Sarajevo, Almir Bečarević, the first tender for the election and appointment of a director was announced on May 15 this year, but it was already annulled on June 24 without explanation. A new tender was published on August 8.
Bečarević claims that the tender procedure follows a pattern of "nepotism", because according to the information he has, a candidate close to one of the high-ranking members of Naroda i Pravde (NiP), a political party to which this leadership position belongs, is being favored.
It is considered problematic that the candidate has no experience in the utility sector, and graduated in communication studies in the second cycle of studies just two years ago. Also, according to the current tender, a diploma with at least 240 ECTS credits is required, while the candidate has 180 ECTS credits, which formally does not meet the required criteria. It is stated that the commission is considering changing the tender conditions to adapt them to the candidate.
"It is indicative that one tender is annulled without explanation, and then a new one is announced, while the criteria are changed in the meantime. Is the well-known pattern of nepotism and political staffing on the scene – the public will find out through the results of the tender," Bečarević said.
The statement also states that, if the information is not correct, KVSBIH Sarajevo apologizes to KJKP "RAD".
