Congressmen at the Presidency and Ministry of Defense: 'A stable and secure BiH advances American interests in the region'

(Patria) - US Congressmen Keith Self and Suhas Subramanyam arrived today on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

US Congressmen arrived in Sarajevo, Ginkel met them at the Airport
The Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, John Ginkel, welcomed US Congressmen Keith Self and Suhas Subramanyam at Sarajevo Airport today.

Immediately upon arrival in Sarajevo, Self and Subramanyam held several meetings with Bosnian officials.

They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral partnership and support for stability in the Western Balkans with representatives of the BiH Presidency.

"A stable and secure BiH advances American interests in the region. The United States remains committed to the Dayton Peace Agreement and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of BiH," the US Embassy stated in a post on platform X.

The congressmen then met with the BiH Minister of Defense, Zukan Helez, with whom they discussed shared security challenges and opportunities for enhancing defense cooperation.

"Strong partnerships enhance the stability and security of both our countries," the US Embassy in BiH stated.
