11th OCTOBER CONGRESS Sabina Ćudić candidate for Our Party president

(Patria) - At today's session of the Main Board of Our Party, the candidacy of MP in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sabina Ćudić, for the party's president was confirmed.

As announced by Our Party, the members of the Main Board are convinced that Ćudić is the combination of political experience and vision needed for the further development and expansion of the party, and they emphasized that she has strong and broad support within the party and among citizens. She is expected to replace Edin Forto in that position.

Her work on the international stage for the benefit of, as they stated, the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina was also highlighted. If elected at the Congress on October 11 in Sarajevo, Ćudić will be the fifth president of Our Party and the first woman in that position.

The session of the Main Board of Our Party discussed the political situation in the country. It was stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing a serious institutional crisis and political radicalization, and that part of the ruling structures at the state level, as well as the illegitimate authorities in Republika Srpska, are demonstrating dangerous irresponsibility through unconstitutional actions, blocking key laws, and abusing public office.

The illegitimacy and, as they assessed, authoritarianism of the authorities in RS were emphasized, where SNSD president Milorad Dodik and his administration are openly undermining the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ignoring the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and threatening secession.

Our Party condemned these moves as a direct attack on the Dayton Peace Agreement, as well as peace and stability. As they add, SNSD's arrogant irresponsibility, to the detriment of all citizens, culminated this week with the rejection of the Growth Plan.

They called on the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto (HDZ), to ensure the functionality of the Council of Ministers in accordance with her powers, by initiating the process of appointing a Minister of Security or taking full responsibility for blocking the European path, together with SNSD. In this context, the Main Board concluded that it is necessary to:

Undertake political and legal steps to remove destructive parties and policies from the state level of government;

Continue and intensify cooperation with international factors, especially the EU and the Office of the High Representative (OHR), in combating harmful external political influences;

Increase engagement to shed light on cases of attempted violent suppression of the opposition and democratic processes in RS;

Condemn the aggression against Gaza and the perpetration of genocide against Palestinians as an anti-civilization, anti-European act.

At the Main Board of Our Party, the commitment to creating solutions with the opposition from RS based on the "Platform for Peace and European Future of Bosnia and Herzegovina," which they signed with the representatives of the Trojka parties (NS, SDP, NiP), was highlighted. Relations within the coalition with NiP and SDP were also discussed, and it was concluded that Trojka is the biggest political dam against attempts to destroy Bosnia and Herzegovina and its European path.

The president of the Main Board, Nihad Uk, is convinced that citizens recognize this and will therefore insist on even greater unity during the election year.

"We are in a time of great security, political, and economic turbulence in the entire world, which undoubtedly affect our country as well as the entire region. We know very well that there will be no time to insist on individual political differences; in Bosnia and Herzegovina, only two things will unite and divide us: Are you for a unified state or not, and are you for European integration or not," Uk believes.

However, in order to form coalitions on that basis with anyone, it must be, as he adds, demonstrated through political practice.

"We saw and still see unity in that area with NiP and SDP. Our Party will continue to consistently advocate for the policy of reforms, the rule of law, and social justice," he stated.

He conveyed that Our Party's political course remains clear: a European Bosnia and Herzegovina as a functional, democratic, and legal state of all its citizens, Our Party announced.
