(Paria) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will hold its annual investment conference in Sarajevo from May 7 to 9, focusing on connecting economies for stronger growth in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is estimated that around 3,500 guests will attend the conference (approximately 2,000 high officials, governors, and diplomats, and 1,500 representatives from the business community).
As most of the conference is being held in the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the building has taken on a new look.
This was also noticed by SDP MP Saša Magazinović, who, along with photos, wrote that the EBRD has revitalized the BiH Parliament.
“That is how I would briefly describe what I saw this morning when I came to work. The entire building looks really nice, and the exterior landscaping is nearing completion ahead of this important event.
I would be happy if, in the coming days, instead of numerous bankers and members of state delegations, MPs and delegates to the BiH Parliament were meeting in the parliamentary corridors, which would mean that the government has been formed and that we are starting to work normally. I don't believe those who are making deals about the government, but I sincerely wish they would reach an agreement as soon as possible and stop holding us all hostage to their ambitions and goals,” Magazinović wrote.
The legislative authority at the state level of Bosnia and Herzegovina is officially entering its sixth month without the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH holding a single session. During that period, MPs have been regularly paid 30,000 KM each from the budget for not working.
