Konaković's advisor Dino Selimović appointed acting director of Sarajevo Airport

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina gave preliminary approval this morning for the appointment of Dino Selimović as acting director of Sarajevo International Airport.

Selimović will hold this position until the completion of the public tender, for a maximum of one year (12 months), after his appointment is confirmed by the Supervisory Board.

Selimović is a member of NiP, and is currently an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković. Just yesterday, he shared congratulations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH on his X account on the occasion of March 8th - Women's Day, and today he is in a different position.

The FBiH Government also appointed acting executive directors, with Amadeo Mandić (proposed by SDP) appointed as acting executive director for traffic and air traffic services, and Slobodan Kadijević (proposed by NS) as acting executive director for airport development.

After the Special Department of the Supreme Court of the FBiH imposed restrictive measures on the former acting director of MAS, Sanin Ramezić, and the entire case of amending the Statute and appointing the Airport Management is being handled by POSKOK, Mandić was appointed acting director on December 10th. Due to the failure to submit adequate documentation, the Municipal Court in Sarajevo initially refused to register Mandić in the court register as the authorized representative. In the second half of February, after new members of the Airport Supervisory Board were appointed, who conducted a legal procedure and submitted the documentation to the court, the registration was completed.

However, the FBiH Government has clearly opted to appoint an acting director again. Sarajevo International Airport has been under temporary management since November 2024, and this will clearly continue despite the completed tender procedure.

In the distribution of positions, Trojka agreed that the Airport would go to a candidate from NIP, so this is clearly part of a previous agreement.

Whether there will be grounds for investigative bodies and potential conflict of interest in this case as well will be known very soon.
