SARAJEVO, (Patria) – The party bodies of People and Justice have considered and accepted the resignation of the Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Zineta Bogunić, whom they had delegated to that position, although that formally should be done by the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Edin Forto. Patria has confirmed that the minister is on annual leave, and after that, a meeting with Prime Minister Forto will be held.
The president of People and Justice, Elmedin Konaković, told the Patria agency that there is no possibility that Minister Bogunić will remain in that position, and said that they are already conducting talks with potential candidates. It is known that it must be a woman.
"In the next 15 days, we should submit a new name to Prime Minister Forto for the position of Minister of Education of the Sarajevo Canton," said Konaković.
On July 19, Bogunić sent a letter to the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Edin Forto, asking him to accept her resignation.
"Since there are no conditions for me to continue performing the entrusted duty in accordance with the oath I took, honor and dignity oblige me to step down from the position of Minister of Education, Science and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton," Bogunić wrote in her letter.
