Konaković to lead team monitoring water consumption debts

As announced, the Government of Sarajevo Canton at today's session appointed a Team for monitoring debts for supplied and consumed water by legal entities, car washes, and catering facilities, and for removing illegal connections to the water supply and sewage network, reports the Patria News Agency.  

Led by the Canton's Prime Minister Elmedin Konaković, the Team includes ministers Senad Hasanspahić, Muharem Šabić, Mujo Fišo, Enver Smajkan, Predrag Kurteš, the director of "ViK" Nezir Hadžić, and the director of the Inspectorate Administration Heni Erduan Ćesir. 

Unrealistic data presented on the consumption and payment of water supply in facilities that cannot operate without increased water consumption served as an alarm to strengthen control measures for connections.

Teams from "ViK", the inspectorate, and relevant ministries will, following the Team's guidelines, be tasked with conducting enhanced field controls, regularly reporting on the number of registered and removed illegal connections to the water supply and sewage network, as well as reporting on initiated proceedings against individuals who made illegal connections.

In addition, "ViK" will submit reports on the collection status of these utility services and measures taken to reduce the debts owed by the aforementioned legal entities. The public will be informed about the measures to be taken, as well as reports on the results of field interventions, it was announced from the KS Government.
