FINALLY: FBiH Government to discuss railway rehabilitation today, directors of Railways FBiH and Roads FBiH invited to session

(Patria) - The session of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held today in the building of federal institutions in Mostar.

The agenda of the session will be published on the website of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina immediately after its adoption, announced the FBiH Government, but it is already known that today the Government will finally discuss the rehabilitation of the railway damaged by devastating floods in Jablanica and Konjic a month and a half ago.

As Patria learns, the director of Railways FBiH, Enis Džafić, as well as the director of Roads FBiH, Ljubo Pravdić, have been invited to the session of the FBiH Government.

Let us recall, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted a conclusion on October 16, by which it excluded Railways FBiH from the rehabilitation process and authorized Motorways FBiH to carry out the rehabilitation of railway traffic alongside road traffic!?

And so it waited for a month and a half to even agree on who and how will carry out the rehabilitation.

Today, finally, the agenda will also include the response from Motorways, which has so far been ignored by the relevant minister Andrijana Katić (HDZ).

After the responses they received from the EIB, Motorways FBiH informed the FBiH Government that they should not be directly or indirectly involved in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the damaged part of the infrastructure, primarily because the engagement of the public company Motorways FBiH on these works would represent a violation of the provisions of the Law on Roads, primarily Article 13, paragraph 1.

"We propose that the Ministry and the Government of FBiH consider other possibilities for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the damaged part of the infrastructure in accordance with the Law on Roads of FBiH and the Law on Railways of FBiH," they stated.
