In Italy today we are witnessing a slight decrease in the number of deaths and persons infected with Coronavirus. According to data from the Italian Civil Protection, in the past 24 hours 601 deaths were registered, including two doctors. The number of healthcare workers who became infected while treating patients is 4,824, which is double that of China, where the infection originated. Since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic in Italy, 21 healthcare workers have died. A total of 63,927 cases of infection have been recorded, of which 7,432 people have recovered, 408 more than yesterday, 6,077 have died, and 50,148 people are currently fighting for their lives.

The rules for citizens during the pandemic are somewhat stricter this week, and one of them is that no one may move more than 200 meters from their registered address, except for shopping, work, and health reasons. According to experts, this week will be crucial in the fight against Covid-19. The weather in eastern and central Italy has suddenly changed, it has turned cold, and this morning there was freezing rain or hail, I am not sure, but it did not last long. The temperature dropped to 4 degrees.

During yesterday, the police checked 157,621 individuals, and 10,326 criminal charges were filed.

We hope and believe that this week we will witness a decreasing number of people infected with Coronavirus, and that by the beginning of next week Italy will see the “light at the end of the tunnel.” Once again, great respect for all our healthcare workers, shopkeepers, delivery drivers, factory employees, and everyone else who is carrying the whole world on their shoulders during the time of Corona. THANK YOU!
