Two police officers and one young man were killed in a shooting near Lisbon, reports the Patria News Agency.
The officers died during an intervention due to a neighbourly dispute in the town of Quinta do Conde, 30km south of Lisbon. When the officers arrived at the scene of the dispute, the 77-year-old opened fire on them, killing both. The third victim was a 23-year-old young man, the son of one of the officers who came to his father's aid.
Local media report that the 77-year-old attempted suicide after the shooting, but survived and was transported to a prison hospital, writes Index.
