
(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić has arrived in Dayton (USA) where he will attend the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the signing of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH.
Komšić was welcomed by Dayton Mayor Jeffrey J. Mims Jr. and Congressman Mike Turner.
During his conversation with the media, Komšić thanked the hosts for their warm welcome and for the long-standing overall support of the U.S. government and its citizens to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He emphasized that Dayton holds special significance for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens, as the Dayton Peace Agreement was signed there, bringing the necessary peace to our homeland.
He stated that from tomorrow's meeting with Christopher Landau, Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, he expects an open dialogue on key issues regarding the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the continuation of reform processes, preservation of peace and stability, and strengthening the partnership with the United States of America.
