Komšić meets with Christopher Landau in Washington

(Patria) - The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, will meet today with the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, Christopher Landau, in Washington, NAP has learned.

After the meeting with the Deputy Secretary of State, Chairman Komšić will attend a gala dinner organized by the Maryland–Bosnia and Herzegovina Exchange Council (MBHEC)

The ceremonial event will gather high-ranking officials, diplomats, representatives of the academic and business communities, as well as members of the Bosnian diaspora, with the aim of further strengthening the long-standing and substantive relations between the state of Maryland and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the overall relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America.

Komšić's meeting with the US Deputy Secretary of State comes after a series of challenges and unfounded accusations, among which journalist Ivica Puljić stands out.

Puljić, once again, in advance, reporting for FTV from Washington, assessed that Komšić would not have any meetings. Such reporting by Puljić has long become common and far from the boundaries of decency and professionalism.

A similar stance was expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković during his appearance on Face television. According to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs implements the policy of the Presidency of BiH. However, Konaković apparently considers it more important to reduce foreign policy to daily bickering and malicious insinuations, which he himself criticized at a press conference.

Therefore, it is high time, especially considering the lobbying of officials from the RS, that our officials start working more concretely, instead of engaging in mutual showdowns.
